App Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

The App is published by TrendiView, an independent, informational multi-asset markets app covering cryptocurrencies, stocks, gold, metals, commodities, forex and indices. We are not a broker, exchange, wallet or financial adviser. This policy is written to match, line for line, the answers in our Google Play Data Safety form. 2. What the App collects

You can install and browse markets, prices, charts and indicators without an account. Data is only collected when you use the feature that needs it. Here is the complete list.

Account information (only if you create an account)

• Email address — required to create an account, sign in, verify your email and reset your password.
• Name / display name — optional; used only to personalize the app.
• Password — stored only as a one-way argon2id hash on our server. We never store, log, or have access to your plaintext password.

Creating an account is optional. If you only browse market data, none of the above is collected.

Your app activity (only if you sign in and use these features)

• Watchlist — the asset identifiers (e.g. bitcoin, gold) you save, so your list syncs across your devices.
• Price alerts — the asset identifier, direction (above/below) and target price you set, so we can notify you when a threshold is reached.

This is app configuration data — a list of asset slugs and thresholds. It contains no financial-account data, no holdings, no transaction history and no balances.

Device and technical data

• Authentication tokens — after you sign in, your session tokens are kept in the device’s secure keystore (Android Keystore via secure storage), never in plain app storage. They stay on your device.
• Push notification token — if and when push price alerts are enabled, a device push token is used solely to deliver the alerts you created. It is not used for marketing.
• Basic technical/diagnostic data — standard request metadata (such as IP address and app version) is processed transiently by our servers and hosting providers to operate and secure the service.

Market data

Prices, charts and indicators shown in the App are general market data (for example from CoinGecko, Binance and Yahoo Finance). This data is not personal to you — it is the same public market data shown to everyone.

Analytics and advertising — only when enabled

At launch the App ships with advertising and third-party analytics switched off. If we later enable advertising through Google AdMob, or enable product analytics, the ad/analytics SDK may collect a device advertising identifier and similar technical signals to serve and measure ads. If and when this is turned on, we will update this policy and our Play Data Safety form before the change reaches users, and — where required — ask for your consent. We will describe any such SDK here at that time.

3. Location

The App does not collect GPS or precise location. At most, your general region (inferred from your IP address, which every internet request exposes) may be used to route an exchange affiliate link to the right regional exchange. We do not track, store or build a profile from your location.

4. How we use what we collect

• to create and secure your account and keep you signed in;
• to sync your watchlist and price alerts across your devices;
• to deliver the price-alert notifications you asked for;
• to operate, maintain, secure and improve the App; and
• to comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your watchlist, alerts or account data for third-party advertising.

5. What the App never does

• Never custodial: we never hold your funds, private keys, seed phrases or exchange credentials. The App is read-only and informational.
• We never ask for, store or transmit your exchange API keys or wallet secrets.
• We never sell or rent your personal data.
• We never collect precise/GPS location or your contacts, photos, SMS or call logs.
• We never store your password in a readable form.

6. Data sharing & third parties

We share personal data only with the service providers needed to run the App, each acting under its own privacy policy:

• Google Play services — app distribution, crash/stability signals and (when enabled) push delivery via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
• Google AdMob — only if advertising is enabled (off at launch). Disclosed here and in Data Safety before it goes live.
• Market-data providers (CoinGecko, Binance, Yahoo Finance) — we request public market data from them; we do not send them your personal data.
• Exchanges — affiliate/“open account” buttons open the exchange’s website in your device’s external browser. Once you leave the App, that exchange’s own privacy policy governs your visit. We do not process trades or hold funds in the App.

We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and service.

7. Data retention & deletion

We keep account data (email, name, hashed password) and your watchlist/alerts for as long as your account is active. You can delete your data at any time:

• remove individual items from within the App (swipe to remove a watchlist item or alert); or
• request full account deletion by emailing [email protected] from your account email. We will delete your account and associated personal data, typically within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records to meet a legal obligation.

Signing out clears the session tokens stored on your device.

8. Security

All traffic between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are hashed with argon2id and never stored in plaintext. Session tokens live in the device’s secure keystore. We apply rate limiting, account lockout and refresh-token reuse detection to protect accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but we design to keep the sensitive surface small — most notably by never holding funds or keys.

9. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, and to stop certain processing. If you are in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA), you have additional rights including data portability and the right to object; we do not sell personal data, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front. To exercise any right, email [email protected]. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

10. Children

The App is intended for users 13 years and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International transfers

The App may be operated from, and your information processed in, countries other than your own. By using the App you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions with different data-protection laws.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy — for example, when we enable advertising or new features. The “effective date” above reflects the current version, and we will post material changes here (and update the Play Data Safety form) before they take effect. Please review it periodically.
