How to read the heatmap

When the grid is mostly green, buyers are in control and risk appetite is high; a sea of red points to a defensive, risk-off market. Because the tiles are sorted and sized by market cap, your eye lands first on the heavyweights — Bitcoin, Ethereum and the other large caps — which set the tone for everything below them.

Watch for divergences: a green tape in the large caps while small caps bleed red can signal a flight to quality, whereas small caps outrunning the majors often marks a risk-on, speculative phase. Colour intensity matters too — a pale tile is a quiet drift, a vivid one is a genuine move worth a closer look on the coin's full chart.
